Nervi is a residential district of 10,613 inhabitants in the municipality of Genoa, included in the IX Levante district. Once an independent municipality, in 1926 it was aggregated to the Greater Genoa. Located on the extreme eastern outskirts of the Genoese capital, it has a tourist port, a long cliff on which the long promenade named after Anita Garibaldi was built. The district also houses the homonymous Nervi Parks. former municipality of Nervi included the stretch of coast between the Fosso della Pozzacqua, which descends from Mount Moro where via Gianelli begins, and the Fosso Gattego which flows into the sea just west of Capolungo beach (former municipality of Sant'Ilario Ligure).
