This splendid large apartment is located in front of the church of San Siro, the first cathedral of Genoa dating back to 1300, and overlooks the small square and extraordinary 15th century buildings, such as Palazzo Centurione (1347), and Palazzo Spinola Gentile (1414). both registered with the Rolli, whose wonderful fifteenth-century vestiges maintained in later restorations, such as red brick facades with three-light windows and black and white marble arches, can be admired from all the windows of the apartment.
The location is very convenient because in an instant you arrive in Via Cairoli or the Expo area.
The property, which is located on the main floor of a fifteenth-century building, remodeled in 1600 and then definitively in 1700, was the home of Cardinal Lambruschini in 1767 and then of a rich French lady in the 19th century. The high ceilings and large French windows with marble columns, when opened, give the impression of being outdoors.
The apartment has been masterfully renovated by the owner, an excellent architect, who brought out the frescoes with painstaking work originals from the 18th century, he found a niche with a marble altar, restored the marble and majolica fireplaces and the ancient doors.
The kitchen, clearly from the 15th century, with the wooden ceiling and the flooring of ancient terracotta tiles and the long and narrow shape, it was obtained from the suppression of an alley, famous for an ancient medieval legend linked to San Siro and the Basilisk, a large monster that oppressed the city.
